Music by The Piano Brothers

Patricia “Patti” (Homa) Herman

Of Wilkins Twp., formerly of East Pittsburgh and North Braddock, age 72 on Wednesday December 28, 2016, surrounded by her loving and supportive family.

Patti loved her family and will be missed by many. She was the beloved wife of the late Bob Herman for 14 years.

She was the loving mother of Dara (Karl) Bailey of Squirrel Hill. Her favorite activities usually involved her family, particularly, shopping with Dara and listening to Karl perform music. She also loved her “grand-dog” Jack Dog Bailey.

Patti was the cherished sister of Ronald (Marty) Homa of Long Island NY, and the aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys (Wlahofsky) Homa.

Patti spent her working career at Westinghouse and Soma Sheet Metal. She was known for her sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. Patti was ahead of her time with her passion for modern pop music. She was not a fan of “old people music”. She also loved traveling, dancing, and was an excellent sketch artist. Patti’s family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at Hillman Cancer Center and the Stem Cell Unit of Shadyside Hospital.

Friends welcome on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800. Patti’s funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM the funeral home. Patti will then be laid to rest in William Penn Cemetery.

Dara thank you so much for calling me and letting me know your mother is now with the angels. Growing up we were very good friends and classmates. I spent many a happy time with her at your Grandmother and Grandfathers house in East Pittsburgh. I have so many happy memories that I will forever cherish. Your mother and I were so much alike and people thought we were twins….such a compliment. I know your Mom loved you and Karl with all her heart and soul…she was so proud of you. Please know you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
