Albert Carr Obituary

Of North Versailles, age 86, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

Beloved husband of Beverly (Stamates) Carr for 60 years.

Cherished father of Steve (Anita) Carr, Kathi (Willie Turley) Carr, Krissi Carr and Cindy (Irv) Williams.

Dear grandfather of Jason Carr, Eric Carr and Aidan Turley.

Loving brother of Julie Tusay, Anna Mae Robson and the late Johanna Carr and late Robert (Janet, surviving wife) Carr.

He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Albert retired in 1997 from Westinghouse in Churchill after 28 years of service.

He was a US Air Force Veteran and a member of the Braddock Hills Fire Department Social Club for over 50 years. Albert was a devout catholic and member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church of the Mary, Mother of God Parish. He enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes and watching all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates.  What Albert enjoyed the most was spending time with his family and friends.

Family and friends welcome Friday, April 19th 2-8 PM in the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 10:00 AM in St. Robert Bellarmine Church of the Mary, Mother of God Parish.

Burial with military honors will follow in William Penn Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society; 3708 Fifth Ave #503, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
