Mary Kerlin Obituary

Of North Braddock, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Harcarik; her son, Kerry (Michon) Kerlin; and her grandson, Ronald Harcarik.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Harry “Ozzie” Kerlin; her parents, John and Rose Tomasic; her sister, Anne Carter; and her brothers, Nicholas “Mike” Tomasic and George Tomasic.

Mary lived in North Braddock for almost 10 decades and was extremely active volunteering for charity and community events.  She was a parishioner at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Rankin (now St. Joseph the Worker Parish).  Mary was a lifetime member of both the North Braddock Volunteer Fire Department Ladies of Auxiliary and the Western PA Fireman’s Association.

Mary’s greatest joy in life was socializing and “pitching in” with family, friends, and her neighbors.

Friends are welcome on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 12 noon in St. Anselm Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

Mary will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
