Joseph W. Lenhart

Of North Braddock, age 78, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024.

Born the son of the late Joseph “Zip” Garritano and the late Elizabeth (Lenhart) Garritano.

Longtime companion of the late Joyce Hummel.

Dear brother of Bo (Joyce) Garritano, Marlene Garritano, and Theresa (Jim) Provenzano.

Cherished friend of Dan Schlegel and Vince Donifero.  Dan and Vince met Joe in the 3rd grade at Brinton Avenue Elementary School, and were honored to  share countless memories together, both good and bad, they always remained exceptionally close.   

Joe was a 1964 graduate of North Braddock Scott High School.  He was employed by A. Mamaux and Sons, Inc. as an awning sales representative for over 21 years before retiring.  Joe was a longtime member of the AMVETS Post 60 in North Braddock and enjoyed spending time on the golf course.  He will be sorely missed by the family and many friends he leaves behind. 

Friends are welcome Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800, where a Blessing Service will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m.

Joe will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery.
