Of North Braddock, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024.
Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dawn (Fruehstorfer) Loughner; his dear child, Damian Loughner; his mother and father-in-law, James and Carol Fruehstorfer; his sister-in-law, Faith (George) Getlak, and their children, Brendan and Dani. The family would also like to recognize his niece, Michele Reiss and her family, along with his close friend, Linda McKenzie.
Bill is also survived by countless extended family and friends.
Bill was raised in the town of North Versailles. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. In his early years, Bill treasured spending time outdoors, fishing and camping. He was well known for his selfless and outgoing personality. Bill’s life took a challenging turn in 2008 as he was attempting to prevent a burglary in North Braddock and was shot twice. Bill survived but was severely disabled. After this event, Bill quickly learned the value of a true spouse, who since 2008 spent each day caring for Bill. Over the years, his spirits remained high as he spent time with his cherished family, volunteering with the Bridge City Church foodbank, and watching Bar Rescue and WWE. His dogs Wednesday and Rasmus also brought him immense joy.
