Wade C. Neilson

Of North Braddock, age 82, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Beloved husband of Theresa (Cuda) Neilson for 58 wonderful years.

Loving father of Chuck (Deborah) Neilson of Pittsburgh, Kathy Neilson of North Braddock, and Sherri (fiancé, John Bennett) Sloan of Plum.

Cherished grandfather of Justin Reed, Anna (Matt) Stanziano, Wade (Katelynn Leiby) Neilson, Michael (Kelsey Lloyd) Neilson, Sara (Duane) Gudenburr, Mackenzie (Pat Krancic) Sloan, and Tina Neilson.

Adored great-grandfather of Maddison, Gabriella, Isaac, Keely, Roman, Eliana, Ezra, Ava, and River.

Dear brother of Donald Neilson of CA.  Preceded in death by siblings; Rita Nesky, Hugh Neilson, and Larry Neilson.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Wade proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Army Reserves.  He worked for over 30 years as a machinist at the Westinghouse Glassport Plant, which eventually became Siemens before Wade retired.  Wade was a talented handyman and loved to lend a hand to anyone in need when vehicles needed repaired or items around the house needed fixed.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, listening to country music, and his morning routine of having coffee and toast with his dogs.  Wade also treasured the time working beside his soul mate, Theresa, at Carm’s Pizza in North Braddock for many years where he would often be responsible for making the sausage for the pizza.  Above all Wade was a family man, who loved nothing more than spending time with his family and watching them grow before his own eyes through three generations.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

Wade will be laid to rest with Military Honors in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
