Of Wilkinsburg, age 103, died peacefully at home in the company of her family on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Virginia was born in Braddock to the late George and Anna (Aranas) Kobulinsky.
She was the loving mother of Dennis and Joyce Hylazewski.
Virginia was also preceded in death by loved ones: husband, Barney; sisters, Marcella Hawk and Geraldine Kobulinsky; brothers, George and Lawrence Kobulinsky .
She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a 1939 graduate of North Braddock Scott High School. During her working years, she was employed in many capacities at various companies including Westinghouse, Pharmor and Metro Health System.
She had several pastimes that she delighted in including writing poems, traveling, line dancing, cake decorating and playing penny slots.
Virginia was also pleased to host international students.
All are welcome on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue, East Pittsburgh 15112.
Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. James Church, Wilkinsburg (St. Mary Magdalene Parish) on Thursday at 10 a.m.
