Of Monroeville, age 71, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, following a courageous fight with Cancer.
Beloved husband of Cheryl Snyder Zwergel, who spent over 34 years at Tim’s side.
Loving father of Timothy “TJ” (LaFawn) Zwergel, Jr., Nicholas Kordistos, Thomas Zwergel, Carrie Kordistos, and Sarah Kordistos.
Dear Pap of Nicalina, Matthew, Dominic, Hailie, Liam, Ronin, and Edward.
Dear brother of Robert Zwergel, Brian (Peggy) Zwergel, Joan (Sam) DaDamo, David (Dori) Zwergel, and the late John Zwergel.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, and his close friends, Michael and Donna Palmer.
Tim was raised in Penn Hills and was a graduate of Penn Hills High School. After his schooling concluded, he developed a passion for carpentry. Alongside his brothers contracting business, Zwergel Brothers, Tim aided in the construction of countless homes and especially enjoyed taking the time to perfect the finishing touches. He was a caring soul, always willing to help those in need. Tim was a simple, yet meticulous man, who was well known for sticking to his schedule. He enjoyed caring for his flower gardens, which surrounded his entire house. He loved keeping up with the news around town. But most of all he treasured spending time with those he loved most, his family.
There will be no visitation or service. The family will be holding a private gathering in the future.
Arrangements are entrusted to Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.
