Thomas "Tom" J. Linsenbigler

Of Turtle Creek, age 73, a man known for his love of family, and community service, died on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, reunited again with the love of his life, Mary.

Tom was born to the late Dorothy Elizabeth (Powell) and the late Frank Tomosovich.

He was the cherished husband of the late Mary (Hartsock) Linsenbigler for more than 50 years until her passing on July 22, 2019.

Tom was a proud father to Tom Linsenbigler, Jr. and his wife, Terri, of Turtle Creek, and their four children; Shyanne (Jacob) Cunic, Jimmy, Lindsey, and Emily Linsenbigler. Father to Steven of Turtle Creek, and his two children; Sherm and Isabella. Father of Bill Linsenbigler and his wife, Tanya, of Turtle Creek, and their four children; William, Jr, Hunter Thomas, Ashley Marie, and the late Shawna Linsenbigler.

Treasured great-grandfather of Salorra, Kinlei, and Nash Cunic, and Dawson who is due in December.

Tom is survived by his brother, Frank Tomosovich, and is preceded in death by his five siblings; Alice, Tina, Art, Rich, and Ernie.

A graduate of Turtle Creek High, Class of '68. After graduating, he enlisted in the Navy, where he honorably served during the Vietnam War. His commitment to service continued in his professional life, where he served as the former Chief of the Turtle Creek Fire Department. Tom also worked on the Liquor Control Board for over 30 years as a Store Manager, a testament to his dedication to his community.

Tom was a man of many interests and hobbies. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like woodworking, fishing, and playing cards. He loved going to the casino, and playing board games with his kids and grandkids. Tom took great pride in his yard and loved gardening. He was known for his resilience and his ability to take great care of his children during hard times. More than anything, Tom loved the company of his grandkids, and cherished every moment spent with them.

Friends welcome Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where a Blessing Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. followed by military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tom’s family.

Tom and Mary will be laid to rest at Penn Lincoln Cemetery at a later date.
