Formerly of Turtle Creek, age 85, a resident of The Palms at O’Neil in White Oak, died on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Beloved brother of Patricia (Jim) Petitta of Turtle Creek and the late Ruth A. (late George) Biros.
Uncle of Diane Dander, David, William, James and Thomas Biros.
Tom was a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a degree in Education. He began his education career as a music teacher in the Hempfield School District. Tom later entered St. Vincent Seminary and was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh in 1972. Tom’s assignments included serving as a Parochial Vicar at St. Anslem in Swissvale, Immaculate Conception in Washington, PA., St. Maurice in Forest Hills, St. Kieran in Lawrenceville, St. John Fisher in Churchill and Holy Innocents in Sheraden. He served as Pastor of St. Edward in Blawnox and Our Lady of Fatima in Hopewell. Tom also served as Chaplain at Sewickley Valley Hospital, Forbes Regional Hospital and the SCI facility in Pittsburgh. Tom’s last assignment from 1998-2004 was as Administrator of St. Patrick-St. Stanislaus Parish in the Strip District.
Tom enjoyed travelling and cooking and will be remembered for his joyful singing and entertaining.

Tom’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Bishop David A. Zubik in St. Colman Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Friday at 10 a.m.
Tom will be laid to rest privately in Good Shepherd Cemetery
