Of Monroeville, formerly of Braddock, age 88, passed away on Father’s Day, June 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born the son of the late Walter Kopaczynski and the late Agnes (Wargo) Kopaczynski.
Beloved husband of the late Geraldine L. “Honey” (Kisak) Kopaczynski, who was also Tom’s dedicated caretaker for over 20 years.
Loving father of Tom (Cheryl) Kopaczynski, Jr. and Bonnie (Dean) Santucci. Preceded in death by his son; Mark (surviving spouse, Laurel) Kopaczynski.
Treasured GrandPap of Stacy (Kevan), Matt (Becky), Allison (Jon), Mark (Katie), and Luke (Kayla).
Cherished Great GrandPap of Cody, Austin, Ella, Markie, and Holly.
Dear brother of Janie Kopaczynski and Mary Ann (the late Harry) Bowser.
Preceded in death by siblings, Walter (surviving spouse, Annabelle) Kopaczynski, Patty (the late John) Bacco, and Joanne (the late Jim) Rebosky.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Tom was proud to have been born and raised in Braddock, PA, and was a graduate of Braddock High School. Even in his later years, his family treasured the stories Tom shared of his childhood. The town of Braddock is also where he met his soul mate, Honey. Tom was a hard worker, and founder of his own trucking business, Tom Kopaczynski Trucking Co. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and caring for his vegetable garden. Tom had an outgoing and charismatic personality, he was fondly known by many as the “Mayor of Judy Lane.” He also cherished the countless trips to The Keys in Florida where he took annual vacations for over 30 years with his family.
Friends are welcome on Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350, where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
Tom will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
