Of Forest Hills, age 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Tom was the beloved husband of Stephanie (Suznick) Kennedy for 39 years.
He was the loving father of T.J. (Jenny) Kennedy of West Mifflin and Shannon Kennedy of FL.
Tom felt blessed to be the grandfather of Jonathan (Megan) Kennedy, Tommy (Mya) Kennedy and Evangeline Kennedy.
He was the brother of Patricia Kennedy of Brookline, Mary (late Paul) Amenta of Mt. Lebanon, Catherine (Gary) Peach of Brookline and the late Nancy (late Eddie) Kinzel.
Tom was the brother-in-law of Robert )Anne) Suznick.
Tom is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and was soon to become a Great-Great-Uncle.
Tom was raised in Brookline and was a 1973 graduate from South Hills High School.
He retired as a truck driver with 29 years of service with Mahla Office Equipment and was a member of Teamsters Local 249.
Tom loved to root for his Pittsburgh sports teams: the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, in that order, and he was an avid fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
Tom was well known throughout his neighborhood and enjoyed conversing with neighbors and passersby and handing treats to their dogs.
Tom also had an appreciation for classic cars and passion for riding his motorcycle throughout Westmoreland County.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 3-7pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800 where a Panachida will be prayed at 6:30p.m.
A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m.
Tom will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
