Theodore “Ted” Niehl
Lifelong resident of East Pittsburgh, age 80 on Saturday November 27, 2010. Beloved husband of Margaret (Keating) Niehl of 56 years/ Loving father of Suzanne (Michael Bujakowski of Harrison City, Patrick (JoAnn) Niehl of Glassport, and Kristin(Darrell) Dess of Robinson Twp. Much loved grandfather of Natalie and Joshua Bujakowski and Drew Dess. Preceeded in death by his mother Ann Visco, father, Theodore Niehl, Sr., step father Carl Visco and sister Catherine “Babe” Devine Lowry.
Ted was a US Marine Korean War Veteran. He was a retired from the United Postal Service and retired school bus driver from Woodland Hills School District. He served his community as a member of the East Pittsburgh Volunteer Fire Department and was a lifelong member of the VFW 5008.
Friends welcome Tuesday 6-8pm and Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8pm in the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home 700 Linden Ave., East Pittsburgh 412-824-8800. Mass of Christian Burial in Good Shepherd Church on Thursday at 9:30 AM, military honors will follow mass.
Memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation 960 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
