Obituary

Of Turtle Creek, age 36, died on Friday, April 22, 2022, after a long-term battle with diabetes.

Beloved husband of Nicolle (Nolan) Polites.

Loving and treasured father of Aleigha and Alivia Polites.

Dear son of Renee Ann (maiden name Bowser) (husband, Al) Bagnato of Penn Hills and Stephen P. (Julie) Polites, Sr. of Forest Hills.

Brother of Anthony Polites of Penn Hills.

Stephen was the special nephew of Ruth Ann (John) Monroe of Saltsburg and Pati (Rick) Clark of Largo, Florida.  He was the son-in-law of Mark and Doreen Nolan of Turtle Creek.

Stephen loved to coach basketball with the Turtle Creek Athletic Association, and he was a past member of the board of the Electric Heights Housing association.

Stephen enjoyed vacationing at the Outer Banks, and he was a great cook. His culinary specialty was Italian food. He created wonderful dishes, in spite of the mess that he left behind.

There will not be a visitation or viewing. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 501 Martindale St #670, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 or www.jdrf.org
