Russell P. Logan

Of Trafford, formerly of Forest Hills, age 75, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021.

Born into this world to the late Hugh and Annie (Coltogirone) Logan.

Beloved father of Patricia (John) Mousseau of Chalfant.

Adored grandfather of Nicole (Nicholas) Palmiero, Anthony and Allie Mousseau.

Dear brother of Madeline Logan.  Preceded in death by siblings, Margaret “Jane” Stegman, Hugh Logan, III, and Edward Logan.

Former spouse and longtime friend of the late Patricia Logan.

Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.

After graduating Turtle Creek High School in 1963, Russell began working for the U.S. Steel Edgar Thompson Works and then the Westinghouse Plant in East Pittsburgh.  He was then hired by Matthews International, where he held several positions caring for their Moon Township location.  Russell retired from Matthews with over 25 years of dedicated service.  He was a skilled craftsman and carpenter, and often did home improvement work for families throughout the Pittsburgh area.  Russell was an avid car enthusiast and enjoyed cleaning and working on his own vehicles.  He also enjoyed decorating the inside and outside of his home with beautiful flowers.  Russell had a passion for caring for animals, most notably his loving Golden Retrievers, Rocco and Max.  He was a devout member and longtime server at St. John Fisher Church in Churchill.  Most of all, Russell treasured the time shared and memories made with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren, whom he adored wholeheartedly.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 12 noon in St. John Fisher Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

Russell will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
