Obituary of Rosemary Petitta D’Andrea

Of Swissvale, age 77, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Rosemary was born on July 10, 1947, the daughter of the late Vincent “Jim” and Adalia “Dale” (Perla) Petitta.

She was the beloved spouse of the late Frank D’Andrea and loving and devoted mother of the late Vincent F. “Vinnie” D’Andrea.

Rosemary is survived by her sister, Luann (Tom) Barrante of Murrysville and was also preceded in death by her brother James (surviving spouse, Patty) Petitta.

She was the aunt of Justin (Kristin) Barrante, Amber (Ed) Kaminski and Allyson Barrante and the great-aunt of their children, Jude Barrante, Brooke and Naomi Kaminski and Wren and Amos Whitacre.

Rosemary was a 1965 graduate of St. Thomas High School in Braddock and later graduated from the former Robert Morris Business School.

She was a long-time employee of Heinz where she was an administrative assistant in the Trademark Division of the company’s legal department.

Rosemary’s family was her focus and passion in life. When not working, she was a caregiver for her family members whom she adored. She was devoted to Vinnie, her special needs son, and also provided care for her husband, Frank and her Mom, “Dale”.

where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Rosemary will be laid to rest in Penn Lincoln Cemetery.
