Of North Huntingdon, age 37, died accidentally on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Keystone Raceway Park, while racing his prized treasure, his 1977 Ford-150.
Ronnie was the beloved fiancé of Carly Oakes for 18 years and the cherished father of Gianna and Rocco Ruggiero.
He was the loving son of Theresa (Giaramita) Ruggiero of Wilkins Twp. and the late Antonio Ruggiero.
He is also survived by his siblings Michelle Ruggiero of Wilkins Twp., Antonio Ruggiero of Turtle Creek, Rosanna Ruggiero of Wilkins Twp. and his nephew, Paul Everson.
Ronnie attended Woodland Hills High School and the Forbes Road VoTech. He constructed a career as an automotive mechanic and was currently employed at Bob Tyke’s Auto Service in Garden City, Monroeville. His love of vehicles began in his childhood when he rode BMX bicycles at any track available.
Ronnie’s pride and joy possession, and his passion, was his 1977 Ford-F150 truck. He modified it and renovated it into a drag racing truck and raced frequently at Keystone.
Friends are welcome on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Ronnie will be laid to rest with his father, Antonio, in Jefferson Memorial Park.
