Ronald F. Dudash

A lifelong resident of East Pittsburgh, age 82, died on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Born the son of the late John and Virginia Marie (Miller) Dudash.

Cherished companion of Rosemarie Michalov for 25 wonderful years.

Dear father of Ronald F. (Jane) Dudash, Jr. of VA, Ryan J. (Stacey) Dudash of Hermitage, and Rhonda R. (Philip) Montesano of Wexford.

Loving grandfather of Neal, Kelsey, Nikki, and Mark.

Treasured great grandfather of twins: Syenna and Cheyenne, Eevee, and Arlowe.

Twin brother of Joni Eggemeyer. Ron is preceded in death by his brother Dave (Survived by Kathy) Miller.

Ron attended East Pittsburgh High School. He served honorably in the Marine Corps. during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Ron was a member of the VFW Post#5008 in East Pittsburgh and served as a commander multiple times. As a proud Marine veteran, he was an active volunteer with the Marine War Veterans, a veteran service organization that provided Military Honors, not only at the funerals of Marines, but all veterans. Ron was notably the Marine who manned the bugle for the Military Honors. He worked for many places over the years including Goldhammer Hardware on Electric Ave., Menas Floral Shop, Westmoreland Transit, and Grand View Golf Club. Everyone knew Ron from the Woodland Hills School District, as he was a full-time maintenance worker and bus driver and where he was known as “Hotdog”. He attended Linway Presbyterian Church and participated in the choir. Ron loved golfing, shooting pool, and enjoying a few beers with friends, along with good conversation.

Friends welcome Tuesday 2-8 p.m. at the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800 where a Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Ron will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Monday, January 13th, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
