Robert "Rob" Tinter Obituary

Of Wilkins Twp., age 74, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 10, 2025.

Born the son of the late Ivan and Lillian (Sutton) Tinter.

Beloved husband of Dorothy (Moore) Tinter for 51 wonderful years that were full of love, dreams, laughter, and an abundance of “It wasn’t me’s.”

Treasured father and back seat driver of Holly Tinter of Wilkins Twp.

Loving grandfather and bin “trash” day reminder of his chicken pie Georgie Tinter.

Beloved brother of Thelma (Daniel) O’Mahony, Caroline (Phil) Michelides, Douglas (Leesa) Tinter, and Steven (Carol) Tinter.

Survived by his brother like uncle Kenneth Sutton, and his co-prankster brother-in-law Fred (Ruby) Moore, who would often compete to get the cheapest round, and his 9 adored adopted foster cats: Alice Cooper, Ginger Rogers, Black Betty, Simon Growl, Dr. Spot, Panther, Coco, Mama, and Jack Sparrow.

Rob was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, where he caused trouble with his pranks and silly behavior. He worked at C.A. Parsons where he gained his apprenticeship and then went on to win apprentice of the year, a recognition shared by three engineering companies. Rob was later employed by Siemens and his expertise was unmatched. Siemens had him operating on generators all over the world. He loved to travel, often embarking on cruises with his family, watching the waves roll in from the ocean, basking in the sun, as well as being dragged around Disney with his girls. He was also an avid fisherman. Rob had “different” kinds of accomplishments too. Such as completing eating one of the hottest curries in the world at Rupali’s “Curry Hell.” He loved listening to operas, the Beach Boys and his favorite band, the Drifters, and the TV at volume 60. Rob cheered on his home football team Newcastle United F.C. chanting “Howay the Lads!” along with some other colorful language. Rob was a jack of all trades. He worked hard and gave everything to his loving family. Rob's playful spirit never waned. He was always ready with a prank or a witty remark, bringing smiles to the faces of those around him. His heart was as generous as his humor, as long as he liked you…

There will be no visitation or funeral.
