Robert T. Kelly

Of Whitaker, age 73, died peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Beloved husband of Kathleen (Caulfield) Kelly for 47 years in April.

Loving father of Beth (Menas) Zannikos of Murrysville , Leah (fiancé, Dennis Smith) Kelly of Canonsburg and Matthew Kelly of West Mifflin.

Treasured ‘Pappy’ of Elliana, Mila and Nico Zannikos.

Brother of Mary Jo (Ron) Novi of SC.

Bob is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. and Mary (Votilla) Kelly and his sister, Linda (late Joe) Calfo.

Bob was a 1967 graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School, and he was a graduate of Robert Morris College. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He spent the bulk of his work career in the banking industry with various banks in the region. He later retired after employment with Verizon. Bob enjoyed cooking and crafting meals in his kitchen, and he loved to vacation at the beach. His favorite pastime, however, was any time he could spend with his grandchildren.

Friends are welcome on Monday from 2-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800).

Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish) on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

Bob will be laid to rest with Military Honors in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
