At an early age, Bob’s childhood life helped him gain a passionate work ethic and the motivation to succeed. He worked for over 50 years as a carpenter for the Western Pennsylvania Carpenters Council before retiring. Bob was an avid fisherman and a skilled “green thumb”, who took pride in his tomato and pepper garden. He was a lifelong fan of Pittsburgh hockey and treasured the memory of attending the final Duquesne Hornets game and the first Pittsburgh Penguins game. For years, Bob played in a softball league in Frick Park. He was a faithful Christian and was a longtime member of Greater Works Church in Monroeville. Bob frequently volunteered as a telephone counselor for Cornerstone Television Inc. in Wall, PA and was even there to assist with the construction of the current station. He will forever be remembered for his unique sense of humor and the memories he shared with his family.
