Richard Maydak Obituary

Of Dixon Hollow, North Versailles, age 72, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on Monday, July 19, 2021.

Former spouse and dear friend of Carole LeDonne.

Beloved father of Lisa (Dan) Lowden of N. Versailles and Dianne (Stephen) Ribecca of N. Versailles.

Cherished grandfather of Rebecca (Brian) Vavro.

Dear brother of William (the late Christine) Maydak, Joanne Jendeski, and the late Morgan Maydak.

Companion of Connie Rivera.

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

For over 30 years, Rich proudly served as a volunteer fire fighter for both the Dixon Hollow Volunteer Fire Department Station 210 and the North Versailles Volunteer Fire Department.  He was also an Auxiliary Allegheny County Sherriff, where he provided public safety to events throughout the county.  Rich worked as a mover and truck driver for the Forest Hills Transfer and Storage Company for 27 years.  He enjoyed eating out at restaurants and loved caring for his cars.  Rich will forever be remembered by his family as a man who was tough on the outside, but also had a big heart and cared deeply for his family.

There will be no visitation or service.
