Of North Braddock, age 91, died on Friday, January 17, 2025.
Polly was the oldest of nine children of the late John Peter Paul and Elizabeth (Lovas) Paul.
She was the revered sister of John Peter Paul (Sylvia) of MO., Suzanne E. Pollack of North Braddock, Geraldine (Ted) Novak of North Huntingdon, Louise Potts of North Braddock and Connie (Jimmy Klein) of Ligonier. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Vincent D. Paul, Francis R. Paul and George Paul.

At age 14, Polly quit school and began her work career at Alexander’s Market in Braddock where she hauled and lifted boxes and cartons of food goods for shelving. She later became a machine operator and, eventually, a Group Leader for Westinghouse Transportation in West Mifflin from where she retired with many years of dedicated service. During most of her work career, she also held a second job. Primarily, it was as a waitress at either Drew’s or The Plaza Restaurant, both on Ardmore Boulevard in Forest Hills.
In her younger years, Polly enjoyed bowling with the North Braddock ladies at the Terrace Recreation Center in East Pittsburgh.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800, where a Blessing Service will be held at 12 noon.
