Phyllis Mitchell

It is with great sadness that the family of Phyllis Mitchell announce her passing on November 9, 2021 at the age of 86. Phyllis lived in Pittsburgh her entire life and worked 22 years in housekeeping at the University of Pittsburgh. Phyllis loved her family and was an expert puzzle maker, enjoyed bowling and cheering on the Steelers faithfully! Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gladys Mitchell, brother and sister-in law, Dennis and Sally Mitchell, and she is survived by her sister and brother-in law, Joan and Frank Gyorkey, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Transitional Services for their amazing support over the years. A Memorial service will be held for Phyllis at Monongahela Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11 am, presided by Anne Marie Mesewicz, Chaplain. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions be made to Transitional Services, www.transitionalservices.org/donate. Arrangements made by the Patrick T.
