Percy Spell Obituary

Percy Eugene Spell, husband of the Erline Spell, was born April 27, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Percy was married to the love of his life Erline Spell September 1986. The two were inseparable. The love they shared was very special. He spent his last days in (Nursing home) where he and his wife were together.

Percy was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School System. In his younger days he was a Golden Glove Boxer. He loved watching Western movies. His favorite TV show was Sanford and Son. He also enjoyed watching the Pirate and Steeler games.

Percy and his son Anthony shared a special bond. Everything Anthony learned in life was taught by his father. He also loved his son Frankie and daughter Deborah along with his family, very much.

Percy Eugene spell quietly departed this life, Saturday, April 3, 2021. He was preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Irene Spell, his sisters, Gladys Spell, Ida Spell and Donna Bentley, his brother Emory Spell, and Grandson Jamal Aki Holyfield.

His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his loving wife Erline Spell and children: sons Frankie Allen, and Anthony Jones; Daughter Deborah Spriggs (Manell); Sisters Henrietta Booker, Eva Mae Brown, Elaine Pennick, Barbara Jean Pitts, and Roxie Gates; Brother of Lloyd Spell Jr. (Paula); Grandchildren Phillip (Ashley), Rafeal Sr., Jaquia and Cheyenne; 7 Great Grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews as well as family and friends.

Friends are welcome on Wednesday at 4 pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800 where a Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m.
