Paul A. "Zeke" Ballock

Of Wilkins Twp., age 82, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

Born the son of the late Joseph Ballock and the late Mary (Adamcik) Ballock.

Beloved husband of Mary Anne (Piatek) Ballock for 55 wonderful years.

Loving father of Jason A. Ballock of Bridgeville and Jeffrey A. Ballock of Banksville.

Cherished Pap of Gabriella Ballock.  

Dear brother in law of Loretta (the late Harry) Swaney and Richard (Patricia) Piatek. 

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Zeke was raised in Braddock, PA, and was a 1960 graduate of Braddock High School.  He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.  During active duty, Zeke was stationed in Alaska, where he was member of the 2002 Communications Squadron, specializing in radar.  The skillset Zeke gained during his time in the Air Force allowed him to embark on a career in telephone communications.  He was employed by Bell Telephone (later AT&T) for 38 years as a data technician before retiring.  Zeke enjoyed taking trips to Disneyworld with his family, and spending the weekends looking for antiques at local flea markets.  Las Vegas, NV and the Rivers Casino were other favorite destinations, where Zeke enjoyed trying his luck at the casinos, always with a smile, whether fortune favored him or not. Above all, Zeke's fondest moments were those spent with his beloved granddaughter, Gabby, who he affectionately called “The Gabster”.  Zeke's legacy of warmth and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Friends are welcome Tuesday from 3-7:30 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350, where a Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., followed by a presentation of Military Honors.
