Following his high school graduation in 1944, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country during WWII.  During his time in the military, Paul was assigned to a destroyer ship that escorted supplies as they moved from the Philippines to Hawaii.  Paul spent his working life employed with four railroads, P.R.R., NY Central, Conrail, and Norfolk Southern.  Paul was a dedicated employee and held positions from lineman, signalman, and retired in the year 1986 as a maintainer from Norfolk Southern.  He was well known for his love of dancing, and attending dances alongside his soul mate, Rose.  Even recently while living in his 100th year, Paul was still showing off his dance moves at Brookdale in Murrysville.  Paul was an avid golfer, and enjoyed forming new memories hunting and fishing with his sons.  Most of all, Paul loved being a father to his children, and a Pap to all of this grandchildren whom he adored.

Friends are welcome on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 12:30 p.m. in St. Bernadette Church (Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish).

Paul will be laid to rest with Military Honors in St. Joseph Cemetery in North Versailles.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Brookdale in Murrysville and Heartland Hospice for their extraordinary care and kindness they extended to Paul.
