Paul was a 1970 graduate of St. Thomas High School and he was a retired steel-hauling truck driver. He began his work career at US Steel, Homestead Works. After the plant shutdown in the mid-1980’s, he shifted to WABCO in Wilmerding. During a WABCO slowdown, he became a truck driver for a period of time, before employment at Motor Coils in Braddock.
