Obituary of Patti Jo (Hunsberger) Kosinski
Of Wilkins Twp., Patti (not Patricia!) Jo Kosinski passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025.
She had just celebrated her 72nd birthday on the 6th of August.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents, George and Della (Murray) Hunsberger.
She was the beloved mother of Jason Kosinski and the late Steven (surviving spouse Mandy) Kosinski. Patti was the loving sister of Charlie (Sandy) Hunsberger, Tom (Gloria) Hunsberger, the late Dan (late Martha) Hunsberger and the late Ray (surviving spouse Cheryl) Hunsberger.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, her best friend since kindergarten, Midgie, and a certain group of wonderful women with whom she shared happy birthdays and other celebratory events.
Patti was a long-time employee of Kmart, for many years at the Monroeville store and lastly at the Swissvale store. Even though customer service could be hard at times, she always had a warm ‘hello’ and a smile on her face. Patti was a very compassionate woman with a heart of gold and would help anyone that was in need. She lived life one day at a time, loved people, dogs and, in fact, all animals, especially a certain doe and her babies that would visit her daily. Patti was content with whatever life brought her and she never asked for anything more.
The most loved trait of Patti was her incredible sense of humor and joy for life. She will be greatly missed.
All are welcome from 1-4pm on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, (412- 823-9350), where a Funeral Service will be held at 4pm.
