Pamela Kach Obituary

Pamela F. (Robare) Kach, of White Oak, age 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on September 4, 1950, in Braddock, to the late Carl Robare and the late Mary (Rolinski) Robare.  Pam’s final days were spent surrounded by love at St. Anne's Home in Greensburg, where she was cared for with great compassion.

Pam shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Gary R. Kach, whom she met during a dance at the Green Valley Fire Hall.

Cherished sister of Carleen (Bill) Coulter of South Carolina, and a dear sister-in-law of Vicki (Gary) Sich. She was also an adored aunt to Matthew, Daniel, and Rachel Sich.

A proud 1968 graduate of Braddock High School, Pam furthered her education at the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, which paved the way for her successful career. She was proud to work in her community as a beautician, and eventually went on to own Pam's Beauty Salon on Camp Ave. in Braddock, where she brought joy and beauty into the lives of her clients for many years. In 1995, Pam expanded her professional horizons by joining Lucas Funeral Home (later Schleifer Funeral Chapel) as a beautician and secretary, roles she held with great compassion until age 62.

Pam's interests were as varied as they were fulfilling. She was an excellent cook, baker, and an avid reader.  Her generous spirit led her to volunteer for Meals on Wheels, where she contributed to the well-being of many throughout the North Versailles and East McKeesport area. She treasured the trips she shared with Gary at their cottage in Bedford, PA, along with the cruises they took together, and enjoyed the simple joy of trying her luck on the lottery.

Those who knew Pam would describe her as loving, kind, and friendly. She had the rare ability to make everyone around her feel at ease and valued. Her laughter was infectious, her advice was sought after, and her presence was a comfort.

Friends are welcome Thursday from 2-7 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Colman Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

Pam will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery.
