Michael worked for Westinghouse for 46 years, beginning his career as a machinist in the East Pittsburgh plant and eventually transferring to the Research and Development site in Churchill. Growing up right next door to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in East Pittsburgh, Michael was a life-long and devoted member of the church. He served the church in many capacities over the years. Many good friends, family members and church members were in attendance to celebrate his 85th birthday in February of 2020 after morning worship.
Michael was a devoted family man, always putting the needs of others before his own. He enjoyed traveling to doll conventions with his wife Lois Jean as that was a passion of hers. He and Lois also enjoyed spending time going to Estate Sales to find treasures from the past. Michael loved attending family events and could often be seen enjoying a favorite cigar while visiting with family members. He enjoyed cheering for the Pirates, Steelers and Penguins and occasionally taking in a game at PNC Park with family.
