Melissa A. (Edmonds) Harper

Of Homestead, age 60, was called to her eternal home on Friday, May 1, 2020.

Melissa was the beloved mother of LaJuan, Alisha, Luther and Lamar Harper, all of Homestead.

She was the proud grandmother of Luther and Aniya.

Sister of DeJuan “Punch” Delgrado and the late Marvin EdmondsMelissa was a devoted mother and devout Christian. Her main role in life was being a wonderful mother and grandmother. She also was a helper in her community, always ready to counsel and care for any of the youth in her neighborhood.  In spirit, she was considered a ‘community Mom’. During her spare time, she enjoyed watching pro football and cheering for her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Melissa also had an appreciation for music, particularly Hip Hop and Rhythm and Blues.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Melissa’s viewing and service will be private to her immediate family.She will be laid to rest in Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth Twp.
