Melinda L. "Mindy" Gross

Of North Braddock, age 70, died peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025.

Mindy was the beloved wife of Charles E. “Corky” Gross, Jr. for 45 years.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Jennifer (Chas) Arthrell of Wilkins Twp., Charles E. “Charlie” (Jennifer) Gross, III of Jefferson Hills, and Christi (Tyler) Toth of Braddock Hills.

Mindy was the treasured grandmother of Jeremy McMunn, Halee McMunn, Skylar Gross, Kinsley Gross and Morgan Toth

She was the great-grandmother Macee and Hudson.

Mindy was the sister of Mary Jo (late Stephen) Pergantis.

Mindy was a 1973 graduate of General Braddock High School. After graduation, she and her Mom, Jean, owned and operated the Corner Market on Kirkpatrick St., and after a fire, moved their operation to the former Bandik’s Market on Bell Ave. after a few years, she became a dedicated employee of Giant Eagle at Edgewood Town Center, working all shifts and any day necessary. While at Giant Eagle, she worked part-time at Kohl’s. Her latest employment has been with CVS Caremark Specialty Pharmacy.

Mindy was well-known and respected for operating the concession stand for the Braddock-North Braddock Little League during Charlie’s playing days. She treated all of the kids at the games with special care and dignity.

Mindy was a member and officer with the Wilkins Elks #577, and she was a member of the Braddock Hills Fireman’s Club.
