Obituary of Mary Lou “Toni” (Hector) Kinkella
A longtime resident of Blackridge in Churchill, age 94, died peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Toni was the beloved wife of the late Paul W. Kinkella for 26 years and the loving mother of Kristen Kinkella of Washington, D.C.
Preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor (late Vincent “Buddy”) Nilson and her brother, William (late Mildred) Hector, she was also the aunt of Keith Nilson, Kim Konias, Dianne Pepper and the late Judy Hector.
Toni was a 1949 graduate of McKeesport High School and worked as a secretary for Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh. She ended her work career as an Office Manager for a Monroeville periodontal practice. Toni was a passionate Pittsburgh Pirates fan, rarely missing a televised game, and even attended three games last season. She was looking forward to Opening Day in 2025. Toni also loved dogs and enjoyed caring for them, especially her last pet, Beamer. No matter the circumstances, Toni always had a smile and positive outlook and was game for any activity, especially if it included a good steak.
