Mary Louise Cooke

Of Braddock Hills, age 83, died on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

Mary Lou was the treasured mother of Tina (Kevin) Bollman of Braddock Hills and the late infant, Julia Ann Giron.

She was the loving sister of the late Eileen ‘Neen” (late Dan) Gress and the late Rita Cooke.

Mary Lou was the beloved aunt of Samantha and Daniel Gress, and the cherished friend of Diane Ponticel, the late Nancy Seybold and the late Gloria Costa-Common.

Mary Lou was a 1959 graduate of Edgewood High School. Her work career was comprised with her early years with Allegheny Ludlum Steel. Then she spent 20 years with UPMC from where she retired as a Voice Telecommunication Analyst and Manager.

In her 70’s, Mary Lou selflessly took over the care of her niece, Samantha, and provided a loving home for her.

There will not be a visitation but there will be a graveside service in the near future.
