Mary Elizabeth "Bette" (Hussey) Menas

Of North Versailles, age 96, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Bette was the beloved wife of the late Andrew “Andy” Menas; daughter of the late Thomas and Kathryn (Myers) Hussey; sister of the late Jeanne Laris.

She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Drew (Michelle) Menas of North Huntingdon and Andrea (late Ernest) Pecora of North Versailles.

Bette was the treasured grandmother of Dominic (Jennifer) Pecora of Trafford and Zachary and Olivia Menas of North Huntingdon and she was the cherished great-grandmother of Gino, Drea, Talia, Gia, Nina and Rocco Pecora, all of Trafford.

Bette was a devout Catholic. She was the matriarch of her family and was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bette was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and rooted for the Steelers, Penguins, Pitt and especially the Pirates. She was a former member and past president of the Allegheny Women’s Club. Bette also enjoyed watching television, with her favorite shows being the soap operas and Wheel of Fortune, and her favorite news channel, CNN.

Friends are welcome on Friday from 2-8pm at  Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800).

Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church of Mary, Mother of God Parish on Saturday at  10:30 a.m.

Bette will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
