Mary E. (Breitkreutz) Cole
Obituary
Of North Braddock, age 71, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 18, 2023.
Mary was one of 13 children of the late Leo and late Catherine (Friend) Breitkreutz.
Mary was the beloved mother of Dominic Martin, Sandra Cole and the late Patricia Cole-Carter.
Mary is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Lawrence, Thomas and Robert Breitkreutz, and her sisters, Marilyn Blatt and Cecelia “Cindy” Silvio.
She was preceded in death by her other 7 siblings, Catherine Rubrecht, Frances “Siss” Woods, Audrey Martin, Leo Breitkreutz, Carolyn Feniello, Martin Breitkreutz, and an infant sister, Amelia Sylvia.
Mary was employed for many years as a Medical Assistant in the office of Dr. Arnold Snitzer.
Mary enjoyed camping, long drives and road trips and solving word search puzzles. She especially was fond of visiting Kelletsville in the Allegheny National Forest and being at the ocean in New Jersey and Florida. At times like those visits she marveled at the wonder of God’s creation.
Friends are welcome on Saturday from 10a.m.-12 noon at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.; 700 Linden Ave at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800) where a Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon.
Mary will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
