Margaret "Margy" E. (Keating) Niehl

A longtime resident of East Pittsburgh, a resident of LGAR Rehab and Nursing in Turtle Creek, age 89, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Margy was the beloved spouse of the late Theodore ‘Ted” Niehl for 56 years.

Loving and treasured mother of Suzy (Michael) Bujakowski of Penn Twp., Patrick (JoAnn) Niehl of Penn Twp. and Kristin (Darrell) Dess of Robinson Twp.

Precious Nana of Natalie and Joshua Bujakowski; Drew and Chloe Dess.

Margy was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Keating.

Margy was a 1950 graduate of St. Thomas High School in Braddock and graduated from the Braddock Hospital School of Nursing. She achieved 30 years as a nurse at Braddock Hospital and even did a stint as a private duty nurse later in her career. Her last employment was as a sales associate for Victoria’s Secret in Monroeville Mall. In her spare time, Margy enjoyed needle pointing, quilting, and solving crossword puzzles. She also was a regular customer at Jodi B’s Restaurant in Forest Hills. Above all, Margy appreciated any event or opportunity to be with her family.

Friends are welcome on Thursday from 2-8p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800).

Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Friday at 12:30 pm.

Margy will be laid to rest with Ted at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

Margy’s family is grateful for the attentive, loving care given to Margy  during her stay at LGAR in Turtle Creek and also are thankful for the compassionate  staff of Suncrest Hospice.
