Obituary
Of Wilkins Twp., age 72, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
Peggy was born the daughter of the late Norman McCracken and the late Mabel (Harlan) McCracken.
Beloved sister of Charles (Diane) McCracken of Myrtle Beach, SC, Roy (Carla) McCracken of Wilkins Twp., and William (Sharon) McCracken of Wilkins Twp.
Adored aunt of Jennifer Posson, Stephanie McCracken, Nick McCracken, Stacie (Kyle) Phillips, Ashley Marano, Amanda (Donald) Kunkle, James (Eric) McCracken, and Lauren (Brandon) McCracken.
Cherished great-aunt of Jacob and Hailey; Cassius; Nicholas and Noah; Cooper and Delaney; Ricky; Rylee; Triston; Hayden and Mason.
Peggy was a proud 1969 graduate of Churchill Area High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Roberts Wesleyan College in New York in 1973. Margaret was an educator for over 30 years, having worked in the state of New York and for the former St. Maurice School in Forest Hills. She also worked for several years at Horne’s and Lazarus Department Stores and finally retired from CVS/Caremark. She was a member of the Penn Hills Free Methodist Church. Peggy loved attending Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates games with her nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome Saturday from 1-6 p.m. Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800) where a Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m.
