Margaret Heh Obituary

Of Pleasant Hills, formerly of Rankin, Braddock, and East Pittsburgh, age 99, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Born the daughter of the late George Scherrbaum and the late Harriet (Boudot) Scherrbaum.

Beloved wife of the late Harry W. Heh, Sr.

Loving mother of Harry W. (Anna) Heh, Jr., Karen (the late Thomas) Ash, Jeffrey Heh, and the late Gary (surviving partner, Irene Bundy).

Adored grandmother of Christopher (Juilen) Heh, Jonathan (Julie) Heh, Matthew Heh, Gregory (Lisa) Heh, Amy Bundy, Heather Ash, Jennifer Ash, Melissa (James) Hicks, Erik Heh, and Kristen Heh.

Cherished great-grandmother of Alex, Violet, William, Maggie, Evalyn, Emily, Dominic, Jordan, Jasmine, and Jason.

Preceded in death by her sister, Louise Veach.

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Margaret dedicated many years as a volunteer for the Cot Club at the former Braddock Hospital.  Through the Cot Club, Margaret felt a great reward in being able to help others, she also gained countless friendships that lasted throughout the remainder of her life.  In her early years, Margaret worked as a secretary in the Westinghouse Plant in East Pittsburgh.  Later in life, she worked as an administrative aid for Dr. William Stark, DMD at his Braddock office.  Margaret was a devout Catholic and member of the former St. Brendan Church in Braddock, former Good Shepherd Church in Braddock, and most recently, St. Elizabeth Church in Pleasant Hills.  She was also an animal lover and assisted in the Animal Friends’ journey to help pets in need.  Margaret cared most for her family and loved nothing more than forming eternal memories with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.    

A private family viewing will take place on Friday at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800.

Friends are welcome to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Maurice Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish), 2001 Ardmore Blvd., Forest Hills.
