Of Monroeville, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026.
Born the daughter of the late Henry Wegrzynek and the late Dolores (Hochlinski) Wegrzynek.
Beloved sister of Nancy (Dean) Miller of Altoona and Richard (Karen) Wegrzynek of South Park.
Dear aunt of Amanda (Eric) Smartnick. Great aunt of Mallorie and Mercedes Smartnick.
Lynn devoted much of her professional life to serving others as a speech pathologist for Allegheny County before retiring. In that role, she used her knowledge, patience, and gentle encouragement to help countless individuals improve their communication and confidence.
A Breast Cancer survivor since the 1990s, Lynn faced her health challenges with remarkable courage and determination. Rather than allowing hardship to define her, she met it with perseverance and an unwavering will to keep moving forward. Through that journey, she formed meaningful connections that enriched her life in lasting ways. She also joined the Pink Steel Dragon Boat Team, a competitive boat racing team of survivors, and also became deeply involved with the Susan G. Komen Foundation efforts.
Lynn was also a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and was a faithful Catholic, and member of the former St. Leocadia Church in Wilmerding.
Friends are welcome on Saturday from 3-5 p.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, Turtle Creek, PA 15145, (412) 823-9350, where a Blessing Service will be held Saturday at 5 p.m.
