Obituary of Louis “Elias” G. Sarantinoudis

Of Forest Hills, age 82, on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

Beloved father of RosAnna Sarantinoudis and Georgia Sarantinoudis (Scott Kennedy).

Dear brother of Irene Bouzikakos and Lambrini Papadoukakis and the late Michael Sarantinoudis.

He cherished his fur grandbabies Zeus and Charlie.

Louis was known by many as “Louie the Painter”. In the village of Mesta (Xios Greece), where he spent several months each year, he was known as “Moutheli”. In his younger years he traveled the world in the Greek Navy until the 1960’s when he settled here and raised his family. He thoroughly enjoyed gardening, going for his daily walks with Zeus and his coffee crew at Panera.

Friends welcome Thursday 2-8 in the Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350.  

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday in the Presentation of Christ Greek Orthodox Church (Ypapanti) at 11 AM, with additional visitation in church from 10 – 11 AM.

Louis will be buried in Monongahela Cemetery.

He will be missed most for his giant heart and his love for everyone.
