Obituary of Linda (Varrato) Porado

May 2, 1947 – January 12, 2025

Of Wilkins Twp., age 77, died peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025.

Beloved wife of George M. Porado for 57 wonderful years. 

Mother of Douglas (Terri) Porado of Murrysville and Amy Porado of Murrysville.

 Adored grandmother of Joey, Tommy and Louie Kegerreis and Dillon Porado.

Born the daughter of the late Adam and Virginia Varrato.  Sister of the late Paul Varrato (surviving spouse, Nancy), Jeff Varrato (Virginia) and Patty Stitzel (Jeff).

Linda was a very talented woman who loved doing crafts, flower gardening, decorating and entertaining family and friends.  She worked many jobs during her life such as corporate secretary at Westinghouse Electric, saleswoman for both Cochran Auto and Kaufman’s fine jewelry, office manager of Enterprise Car Rental Agency, floral designer at World of Values and assistant R.E. tax collector for her husband George for 44 years.

She always offered a helping hand to anyone in need.  Linda will be remembered for her warm, loving heart that she shared with all those that knew her.

 Linda was a longtime member of Wilkins Elks #577.

All are welcome on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800 where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Linda will be laid to rest in Church Hill Cemetery.
