Linda M. (Veyliotti) Probola

Linda M. (Veyliotti) Probola, an example of resilience and joy, passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on September 18, 1974, Linda's life was a testament to the power of positivity and the strength of the human spirit. She shared a loving marriage of 19 years with her devoted husband, Anthony P. "Tony" Probola, and was a cherished sister to Andy (Liz) Veyliotti of Oregon.

Linda graduated from Woodland Hills High School in 1992. She faced significant challenges, as her studies at the University of Pittsburgh were interrupted by numerous surgeries and chemotherapy treatments due to her battle with Neurofibromatosis (NF2), a rare neurological disorder. Despite these obstacles, Linda's determination never wavered, and she earned her Bachelor's Degree with remarkable perseverance.

Professionally, Linda excelled as a Supervisor at Highmark. 
 

Throughout her life, Linda faced NF2 with unwavering courage and optimism. She not only endured but thrived, completing marathons that would daunt many without such health challenges. Linda's positive attitude and zest for life inspired everyone around her, from family and friends to the medical professionals who were part of her journey.

Her infectious spirit extended to her role as a beloved member of the Madonna Del Castello Parish in Swissvale. Linda was a dedicated volunteer, contributing her time and energy to Fish Fry's, festivals, and serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. Her faith and commitment to service were cornerstones of her life.

Linda also found joy in dance, sharing her passion as a volunteer dance instructor at Fox Trot Dance Studio in Swissvale.  Along with her family and friends, Linda raised thousands of dollars for NF2 research.

She was the sister-in-law to A.J. (Mandy) Probola, Jenn (Christopher Hodge) Probola, Thomas (Megan) Kilgour, and Kimberly Kilgour. Linda's passing was preceded by that of her parents, Charles and Donna Mae (Pendred) Veyliotti. She was a treasured daughter-in-law to Christine (Greg) Thomas and Art (Sandy) Probola. Linda is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, and her adored pet kitties.

Linda's life was a portrait of courage, compassion, and community. Her remarkable ability to face adversity with a smile was a gift to all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to inspire and her memory will be cherished as a light that shone brightly, even in the face of life's most challenging moments.

Mass of Christian Burial will be prayed in Madonna Del Castello Church in Swissvale (St. Joseph the Worker Parish) on Monday at 10 a.m.

Linda will be laid to rest in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
