Leroy "Bo" "Lee" Rothrauff

Of Santee, SC, formerly of Braddock and Monroeville, age 82, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023. Lee was born August 15, 1941, in Braddock, PA, to the late Leroy Rothrauff and Agnes Rothrauff. Known as ‘Lee’ by his friends and ‘Bo’ by his family. Lee graduated from Turtle Creek High School in 1959. He was a retired Master Chief with more than 26 years in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy, he enjoyed seeing many countries and shore duty stations in the United States. After retirement, Lee worked at Ashley Hall School in Charleston as Director of Buildings and Grounds. He and his wife, Margie, retired to Santee, where Lee enjoyed playing golf, collecting trains, and many adventures with Margie and friends. Lee is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margie; sisters, Carol Robinson (Jim) of Valencia and Rose Marie Catley (Van) of Irwin; and many nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Mary ‘Pat’ Clougherty, Sarah ‘Sally’ Hartman, and Joan Saversky. Lee will be missed by his family and friends.

All are welcome to his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Colman Church (St. Joseph the Worker Parish) in Turtle Creek on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11 a.m.  A visitation will be held in church from 10 -11 a.m.

Lee will be laid to rest with Military Honors in St. Joseph Cemetery.
