Lee B. Simon

Of Monroeville, age 79, died on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Lee was the beloved and endeared husband of Janet M. (Breeger) Simon for 58 years who  will deeply miss Lee.

He is also survived by members of Janet’s family, including her sister Marlene (Scott) Little of GA and her brother Sonny (Cindy) Breeger of Chalfant.

He was an uncle to their children, Natalie (Corey) Swanson, Scott (Ricki) Breeger, Sonny (Amanda) Breeger and the late Jim Breeger and great-uncle of Madison (Gage) Kiefer, Nico Swanson, Ella, Hank and Emma Breeger and Joseph (J.J.) Breeger.

Lee served with the U.S. Marine Corps, 2nd Marine Air Wing, during the Vietnam War Era. He was formerly employed for numerous years with the Frick Historical Center in Point Breeze. Lee loved nature and all of its aspects including animals, birds and landscapes. He also was an excellent amateur photographer and enjoyed reading as a pastime.

Friends are welcome to a Memorial Visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, PA 15112, (412) 824-8800 where a brief service will be held at 4 p.m. including a Presentation of Military Honors.

Lee will be laid to rest privately  in Braddock Cemetery.
