Leah Rae (Herbst) Morosini

Recently of North Huntingdon, and a former long-time resident of Sterling, VA., age 68, died suddenly on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Beloved wife of John A. Morosini, Jr. for 41 years.

Loving and treasured mother of Dominic Morosini of FL and Jonathan Morosini of VA.

Leah Rae was the precious daughter of the late Raymond and late Eileen (Quinn) Herbst.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Nancy (late John, Sr.) Morosini of North Huntingdon, 4 sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Leah Rae was raised in North Braddock and was a 1971 graduate of St. Thomas High School in Braddock. Due to John’s career, she settled in North Richland Hills, TX before relocating to Sterling, VA in 1993. While in Sterling, Leah Rae became a childcare specialist for St. Joseph Catholic School in Herndon, VA. She touched the lives of many children and left a positive impact on them.  Leah Rae was a devout Catholic and served as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteer for St. Joseph Parish.

Leah Rae loved to vacation at any beach and soak in warm weather. She also was passionate about gatherings and sharing joy and cheer with friends. Most notably, although John may be famously known as the “Doctor of Tailgateology”, Leah Rae was the Chief Operating Officer who made the tailgates special.

As per Leah Rae’s wishes, there will not be a visitation.

Friends and family are welcome to a Memorial Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree Street, Herndon, VA, 20170 on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
