Of Turtle Creek, formerly of Eastmont, age 81, died on Saturday, March 27, 2021.
Larry was the beloved husband of Gloria Jean (Weiland) Kraeer for 50 years.
Loving father of Kelly (Dean) Manso of Monroeville and Karry (Michael McCaffery) Kraeer of Turtle Creek.
Treasured grandfather of Brandon and Alyssa Lescinsky and Tony and Lexi Manso.
Brother of Doris (late Phil) McKay of Turtle Creek, Walter (Elizabeth) Kraeer of Turtle Creek and the late Kenneth Brown.
Larry is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Larry was a 1957 graduate of Turtle Creek High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War, earning an expert rating in rifle and carbine. Larry retired as a crane operator from USSteel Homestead Works when the plant shut down. He became a registered electrician and performed commercial and residential work. Larry was a volunteer fireman with the Wilkins #1 and #4
Fire Departments. He was a Mason and a member of the F&AM Valley Lodge #613, also being a Shriner. When Kelly and Karry were growing, Larry coached their softball teams. His favorite pastime was NASCAR and he enjoyed not only the broadcasts of races, but he actually attended several races at various NASCAR tracks. Larry was also a most staunch Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 4-8pm to a Memorial Visitation at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where Larry’s Memorial Service will be on Friday at 11 a.m.

Larry will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies privately on Monday.
