Of Monroeville, formerly of Avalon, age 77, passed away at her home on May 17, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Beloved mother of Robert C. (Lisa) Edmunds of FL, Betty A. (Verne) Howard of Monroeville, George F. (Melissa) Edmunds of Ross Twp., Leeman Edmunds of Pgh., Louis Edmunds of Pgh., Vincent Edmunds of Pgh., Candice Edmunds of Pgh., and Constance Edmunds of Pgh.
Loving grandmother of Sydney Kum Sun Howard, Aidan Pak Howard, Hailey Simone Edmunds, and Alexa Noel Edmunds.
Cherished sister of Chong Cha, Chong Tae, Chong Sik, Chong Suk, Chong Wan, Chong Kyu, and Mun Sik Pak, all of Korea.
Kum Sun’s family would like to recognize their relationship in her life with the Edmunds family and her dear friends.
Kum Sun immigrated to the United States from Korea in the year 1976 with the heartfelt mission to give her children a strong education and a wonderful life. She was a caring and devout matriarch, who always had strong desires for her family, and would do anything necessary to help succeed through life. Kum Sun had a passion for helping others, and was always willing to give anything she had to make life easier for anyone in need. Kum Sun was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams, and especially loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking. Kum Sun was a follower of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, whom she knew gave her excellent guidance and love throughout her life journey.
