Beloved spouse of Joel Brewton who he married on July 20, 2019.

Devoted son of Mary Lou (Biedinger) Riling and the late Kenneth E. Riling.

Kenny was also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Ken was a 1982 graduate of St. Thomas High School and graduated from the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in 1989. He was hired upon graduation at McKeesport Hospital and spent his entire 30-year pharmacist career with UPMC.

Ken studied organ since he was a youth and even played at his commencement ceremony at Duquesne which was on his 25th birthday.

He also was a church organist at the former St. William Church and Holy Cross Parish in East Pittsburgh. He also substituted at St. Colman, and Good Shepherd/Sacred Heart Parish. Often, Ken doubled as a cantor while playing the organ and also sang with the Holy Cross choir. He also delighted in decorating his churches for Christmas and Easter.

Another passion of Ken was gardening. He became a Master Gardener through Penn State Extension course. He charitably volunteered his gardening skills at several churches and also the Wilmerding Community Center, formerly the YMCA.

Ken’s favorite place to visit was Kennywood. He was a member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE) and has travelled as far as Europe to ride coasters and visit amusement parks.

Ken was dedicated to his Church, his mother, Joel and his family. He was generous with his time and talent to create a better place in his world.
